
Jack started working at the Gate Theatre under Artistic Director Stephen Daldry. Jack wrote and directed his first short film starring Idris Elba, at twenty-one. He joined Ridley Scott Associates and directed hundreds of commercials, corporate films, and short films directing actors such as Lenny Henry and Ian Holm. He has overseen creative and campaign direction for some of the world's major brands, NGOs, and political parties including Aviva PLC, Greenpeace UK, and the US theatrical releases of Oscar Nominated Short Films.
He has written, directed, shot, and edited documentaries for the BBC, Channel Four Television, CNBC, and E4 televisions' launch series "Modern Obsessions". As Tony Blair's personal filmmaker in the lead-up to the 2001 Election, working with Alistair Campbell and Trevor Beattie he helped New Labour win a second term in office. Jack's short film "Indigo" co-written with Oscar-nominated, Tom Bidwell, had its World Premiere at the 60th Berlinale winning Special Mention for the Crystal Bear 60th Berlinale and was selected for 12 other film festivals including Encounters.
Jack's award-winning work with Producer Kathleen Kennedy gave voice to Hollywood after the attacks of 9.11. The VWDARKSIDE campaign for Greenpeace became the most shared viral on earth in June 2011. Recent cinema projects include creating the short film "The Last Fishermen" which ran across UK cinemas and the Creative Direction for the Theatrical Release of the Oscar-Nominated Short Films across the USA. Jack also created the first-ever political viral campaign online. Clips from the series for the Green Party became cult downloads across the web. The Financial Times called the work "riveting".
Jack is also the former Head of Screen Acting at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
